You know me as the champion of the weeds and a proponent of backyard medicine. So why did I go to Costa Rica to look at plants?
Because we all use treasures from the tropics — like ginger, coffee, sugar, and chocolate — in our daily lives and I wanted to know how they are grown and who they are.
Please join me on my equatorial adventure. We will meet tropical plants that are used for food, seasoning, medicine, and altering your mind.
Not only will we meet the plants, we will meet the farmers, and hear about their challenges and the remarkable ways they are responding, including coffee fruit wine and herbal meads. Learn how your choices impact small farmers. And why organic may not always be the best choice.
Join me on visits to:
Toledo Organic Coffee Plantation
Eden Organic Chocolate Farm
Psychoactive Plant Garden at the Ark
Sacred Seeds Garden at Fnca Luna Nueva
Finca Isla Wellness Sanctuary
In this course, you will
* Discover the health benefits of your favorite indulgences.
* Thrill to the natural beauty of Costa Rica.
* Be astonished at the many processes needed to turn raw coffee and cacao into edible products.
* Nourish your soul.
